Eucharistic Adoration

Throughout Lent, the 4th graders have been going to Eucharistic Adoration on Friday's.  Eucharistic Adoration is a “pause button” for the moment in Mass when the priest elevates the host, the Body of Christ.  This practice began centuries ago. The same Jesus we receive at Mass, is who we adore in the 'monstrance'. This is a sacred vessel that holds the consecrated Body of Christ, in order for him to be 'shown' to us, so we can present to him as he is to us. We have been taking our Lenten prayer journals and spending some quality time with Jesus. This year, we have focused not only on learning about Jesus, but accepting his invitation into a relationship with him. This is a great practice of prayer, allowing the students to draw close to Christ.
