Missouri State Pen' Get's a 10/10!

Recently, the 4th grade took a walking field trip to the Missouri State Penitentiary. Decommissioned in 2004, it was the oldest continually operating prison west of the Mississippi. We toured the oldest housing unit, built in 1868, which also contains a very dark and dingy dungeon cell. We saw the cells of many infamous inmates like Sunny Liston, "Pretty Boy" Floyd, and James Earl Ray. Finally, we toured the gas chamber where 40 men and women have been executed. If you would like to know more about the MO State Penitentiary or schedule a tour, you can visit their website:  https://www.missouripentours.com/

Here are some Photo's from our trip~

These trips are so much fun and it's great to make these memories with these students! 😄
